Bonnard's cat
Inspired by Pierre Bonnard’s oil painting - le chat blanc - an original linocut incorporating abstract shapes surrounding a central image of a white cat. During an exercise of drawing from a painting, I chose to focus on Bonnard’s le chat blanc, especially as a cat lover myself! Using the drawing, I embarked on a challenge to create an original Lino print celebrating Bonnard’s painting.
Handprinted using Cranfield’s mustard yellow relief ink on Lawrence’s Hereford paper.

Lino image size 15cm x 20cm
