A long awaited linocut created from a much loved drawing of Snowdonia. My original hand craved linocut includes the welsh black cattle on the hills surrounding Mount Snowden. This early drawing completed in the summer of 2023, has been present on my drawing wall for a very long time eagerly awaiting its fruition into a linocut. Thoughtful marks bring to life the rich nature of Snowdonia creating a triptych inspired by the masters of Japanese woodcuts. The observer is encouraged to pause and absorb each linocut panel before continuing to the next, equally appreciating the piece as a whole.
Handprinted in Ironbridge Wild Green relief ink on Jackson’s Hereford paper.
Paper size 45.5cm 20cm (approximately)
Lino image size 42cm 15.5cm (approximately)
