Singapore encapsulated into an original handprinted linocut with each vignette revealing a story to the larger piece. Using my drawings from my travel to Singapore, I wanted to encapsulate the exotic nature and familial history with the country. Tracing through the steps of my grandfather, each place became a lasting impression within my drawings.
The composition celebrates the country’s appreciation of nature and historical connections. Bold and intricate lines highlight the strength and delicacy of man and natures relationship to places over time.
Handprinted in Cranfield’s mustard yellow relief ink on Jackson’s Hereford paper.
