Tapestry of Malaysia

£300.00

An original hand-printed linocut inspired by my travels through Malaysia, capturing the contrasts and connections that define the country. Throughout my travels, a sketchbook served as a constant companion, recording moments of everyday life, welcoming encounters, and experiences within Malaysia’s rich natural landscapes.

The final work is composed of sixteen individual linocut tiles assembled into a single large print. Each tile reveals a fragment of the journey—a visual memory, observation, or encounter—while together they form a broader narrative of place and experience.

Bold carved lines sit alongside intricate detail, expressing both the resilience and delicacy of the environments encountered. The composition celebrates Malaysia’s cultural richness and natural beauty, creating a layered visual record of travel, discovery, and reflection.

Handprinted in Cranfield’s phthalo blue relief ink on Lawrence’s Hereford paper.

Paper size 49cm x 49cm (approximately)

Lino image size 43cm x 43cm (approximately)

Limited edition of 25

Due to the printing process, each print will be slightly different with minor colour variations.
