Inspired by a short break to Istanbul with my mum, this original linocut captures the graceful architecture and tranquil green spaces of Sultanahmet Park. The scene centres on a quiet bench where my mum would rest by the fountain, dozing as I sketched—a small, intimate moment against a backdrop of domes and historic facades. Printed by hand, the piece celebrates the layered textures of stone, foliage and sky, and the gentle rhythm of a city that feels both monumental and personal.
